Kinesiology is a process which helps us to access the innate knowledge within the body.  It’s hard to explain, but it uses muscle testing which accesses what your body needs to heal…  We can use kinesiology to support:

  1. Learning Problems.  Our practitioners do a process called LEAP and NOT which support better processing of information for our kids with auditory processing issues, dyslexia, ADHD etc
  2. Behavioural Issues:  We all support the nervous system to cope better with behavioural problems – there are many reasons for this, and kinesiology can help to target what’s going on with the brain, gut, immune system and start the process of rebalancing our kids…
  3. Endocrine/Hormonal Issues.  Within the processes of kinesiology there are ways to help to re-boot the hormonal systems of the body, which are often activated by a huge stress/trauma or a toxic overload of some sort.  Kinesiology can help to target the cells/organs which are dysfunctional and re-balance the energy in these organs.  Are you sick of Infertility? PMT? Pain? Being grumpy?  Depression?
  4. Immune Balancing:  There are kinesiology processes which support boosting the parts of the body associated with better immunity, thereby helping the body have less symtoms of allergy, intolerances, cold and flu…
  5. LEAP:  Learning Enhancement Acupressure Programme – this process helps to re-integrate pathways in the brain that are dysfunctional.  The entire process may take anywhere from 5-20 hours depending on how neurologically out-of-whack the body is.
  6. NOT:  Neural Organisational Technique – this process re-organises the neurology in the body and can be used to support structural problems such as jaw and hip pain, scoliosis, whiplash and neck problems, chronic back pain.  Just about all arthritis starts with an imbalance in the body.
  7. Energetic Healing:  When our energy is out of balance, ‘blockages’ occur in the body.  Kinesiology can target ”weird energy” like chakras, auras, figure 8 energies, negative attachments that are causing problems for you overall.
  8. Nutritional Kinesiology:  Do you absorb your food?  Supplements?  Protein?  Carbohydrates?  Sugars?  Kinesiology can find out which organs are affected negatively by your foods and supplements and help your body accept and absorb nutrition better.
  9. Toxicity Work:  We can use kinesiology to find the pathways in the brain, liver, kidneys which are being blocked by toxins such as lead, mercury, cadmium, aluminium…  This can cause chronic fatigue, fibromyalgia, just about any health problem.
  10. and so much more….

Common Errors on HCG Diet…

Wednesday, September 19th, 2012

The kit/diet is available at New Leaf AND
The RFM HCG Homoeopathic Drops are available at New Leaf on 3348 6098 (o7)

Support for HCG on Facebook:  HCG Weightloss Support Group
AND New Leaf Natural Therapies Group and Page

We’ve had over 100 people do HCG RFM Diet this year alone (and we’re 2/3 the way through the year!)… so we’re finding the mistakes people make:

  1. Using contaminated spices:  lots have herbicides or pesticides or are irradiated.  Some are past their use-by date.  This can be toxic to your body and cause fluid retention, and therefore weight stalls.  If you don’t detox these toxins, then they will store somewhere else in your body.
  2. Using spices that contain oils or sugars – this will add calories and stop you from losing weight.
  3. Not drinking enough water.  This is crucial.  2.5 – 3 litres daily – from water, herbal teas and other water-based drinks daily.  Coffee doesn’t count.
  4. Drinking too much coffee.  Some people cope with lots of black coffee on HCG, others don’t.  Coffee may stop your body from creating energy that so many people love during HCG and make you retain fluid, and add a toxic load to your system, thereby slowing weightloss.
  5. Forgetting to take supplements.  We recommend several (depending on the individual):
**  Silymarin to support the liver (if you have a fat roll under the rib cage)
**  ResistX to support insulin and fat removal from the bloodstream (if you have a below-the-belly-button-layer of fat)
**  Multi-vitamin such as Femme Essentials or Meta B – definitely superior to most on the market
**  Cascara to support bowel movements
  6. Eating fatty meat or exposing your hands, face or body to creams, fats and oils.
  7. Not doing your two Feast Days properly when beginning the programme.  They are important.
  8. Mixing vegetables at a meal.  Simeons is clear about eating only a single vegetable at each meal.  the only exception is green leafy vegetables which can be combined.
  9. Putting other things in your mouth, like gum.  Even sugarless mints, gums etc interfere with the Protocol.  Don’t use them.
  10. Drinking diet drinks – including diet soft drinks.  They are toxic to your body and cause you to gain weight, due to this toxicity.  Dont’ use them.
  11. Eating meats, veggies, starches in the wrong combinations (ie 2 veggies at a meal, 2 fruits at a meal, more than 100g protein at a meal…)

Detox Support Naturally…

A common story about one of our clients…

Had a client who, using another weight-loss programme lost 33 kilos, incredibly close to her goal weight now. Fantastic right? Well, not so much. Exhausted. Bloated. Aching. Worn out. Allergies. Not sleeping. She had been so excited about getting back into exercise, which she hadn’t done for so many months.

We did a VLA / bioimpedance analysis and found signs of massive levels of toxicity, inflammation,…fluid retention, LOW LEVELS OF MUSCLE MASS, and poor quality muscle tissue. TOO MUCH FAT MASS… So this is called Sarcopenia. This is when we have too much fat, not enough muscle and the body acts as though it is obese.

Imagine 33 kilos of fat mass, releasing all of the toxins, acids, hormones – that had been dumped into the bloodstream and gut over those months…

Without nutritional support for detoxification and VLA’s to monitor the progress – she now has a condition likely to create more health problems.

What did we do for the client below who became toxic after weight loss (not using HCG – but there may be some gems in here for anyone on the weight loss journey)…

It was predominantly her ‘gut’ that was upset after her weight loss – no exercise in many many months, a very low calorie high protein, low carb diet (which loses muscle mass) – BUT she felt great throughout the programme – totally committed and it never occurred to her she would feel like crap once she finished and started re-introducing other foods back into her world. So we are:

1. Using G-Tox (Green formula which is heals leaky gut, alkalises the body, pulls heavy metals from the blood stream, cleanses the kidneys and boosts gut immunity)
2. We’re adding in digestive enzymes. Her gut has totally forgotten how to break down any foods – so we’ve added Digestaid which supports digestion of carbs, sugars, proteins, fruits…
3. We’re supporting liver support. When the gut is shut down, we simply reabsorb toxins back in through the liver. We added Silymarin (liver detoxifier) to start binding with these toxins and support removal from the body.

Other supplements I love for HCG, depending on a person’s individual health issues are:
** Estrofactors or Meta I3C – these are for those who have had oestrogen issues in the past – fibroids, cysts, PMT etc
** NCD Waiora Zeolite – A fully-cleansed form of zeolite which detoxifies the worst toxins from our bloodstream first
** Oxidant Protection – If we do a live blood screening and see toxicity issues – we use this as a fantastic anti-oxidant to remove anti-nutrients!

Vegetarians and Vegans on HCG Weight Loss Process… Can It work??

Friday, September 14th, 2012

It sure can!  We’ve had vegetarians do the RFM HCG Weight Loss Process at our clinic without any problems.  Vegans have less choice, obviously, and the weight loss is a fraction slower in vegetarians/vegans.  Extra nutrients are needed throughout the process, and it’s a good idea to do at least one serve per day of a complete protein – a protein powder or tofu…

There’s a few things that can be used in place of meat proteins for vegetarians and vegans… As always with HCG it’s really important to keep an eye on the calories (of course).  The vegetables, fruit and starches aren’t an issue so here’s a few ideas and possibilities for you…

1. 2 cups skim milk (about 170 calories – maximum per day)
2. 1/2 cup cottage cheese 81 calories
3. 1/2 cup low fat yoghurt 77 calories
4. 100grams tofu 55 calories (so within calorie range could have up to 150g as long as weight loss continues)
5. There a powder called “Shake It Soup” that we stock, and you may be able to find, that’s a vegetarian pea protein with around 100 calories per scoop
6. With protein powders you have to watch the carbohydrate content … but there are whey, rice, soy based protein powders out there – there’s are carbs added to many of them to make them taste better and many also contain artificial sweeteners…
7. Low fat soy milk 127 calories
8.  Eggs – if you eat eggs – 2-3 egg whites + 1 egg yolk (maximum due to the fat content).  You can buy ‘bags’ of egg whites at the supermarket, so egg white omelettes are a possibility.

The normal protein sources (where combinations are used to create complete proteins) are not allowed: legumes, nuts & seeds, lentils, rice… but it’s very doable as a vegetarian – more challenging as a vegan, but absolutely worth it. I was a vegetarian for 20 years and struggled much of the time to balance my weight, if only I’d known about HCG many years ago – I’m so glad we have this tool now!

Good luck!

Bio-impedance Analysis/VLA process

Thursday, September 13th, 2012

Client Question: What is the VLA/Bioimpedance Analysis approach and how much is it?

Answer: It is a 15 minute test with a practitioner (so it includes 15 minute consultation time) at New Leaf and gives the following information:

1. Accurate Body Mass Index
2. Biological Age Based on Bone and Muscle Quality, Fat Mass, Active Tissue Mass and Cellular energy
3. Phase Angle – the amount of cellular energy we are getting
4. Fluid – we are supposed to … have about 60% of fluid inside the cells and 40% on the outside of the cells – it lets us know if this is happening, and if not, how ‘leaky’ our cells are
5. Risk factor for heart disease and diabetes based on fat mass, muscle mass, muscle quality, abdominal fat
6. Muscle Quality and Muscle Mass
7. Fat Mass

The cost for the 15 minutes at New Leaf is from $73.  Cheaper for those on health plans.
For people who have had weight issues long-term we also have a 1 hour combination which is normally over $290 – ask about internet specials when you call – that includes the VLA, an insulin resistance test, some urine tests to find acid levels, kidney function etc and a consult…

Fantastic for those with chronic fatigue, chronic inflammation, adrenal fatigue, weight issues, thyroid issues…

HCG & Bio-Identical Hormones

Thursday, September 13th, 2012

Client Question re HCG Weight Loss and Bio-Identical Hormones….

I have a question on Bio-identical’s – you hear the professionals say you can’t lose weight, until you balance these hormones first, so I can’t understand why people go on HCG first, or diet first before balancing these hormones. Then you go on maintenance next, then on to HCG again, before you get back to the hormones. This seems like it takes months to get back to the hormones and in between you may not feel well with out thiscream. Then once you go back to the hormones, you will be add the fat back? I hope this question is clear.

New Leaf’s Answer: The thing I love about HCG is that so many hormonal issues may be cleared up during the process – since HCG is working directly on the hypothalamus in the brain – and therefore any hormonal issues that are affected by HCG may be supported positively during the HCG process.

I’ve had clients use the Bio-identical hormones throughout the HCG process without any problems – others who use too much may find that amount of cream is adding too many calories of fat and slowing down the process…

Thinking of hormones like oestrogen and progesterone – the tummy fat tissue actually changes these hormones – if our waist measurement is too high – so taking bio-identical hormones may change nothing long-term, until the weight comes off the waist. Waist-fat is so inflammatory – releases at least 32 inflammatory hormones, changes oestrogen into progesterone, testosterone into oestrogen – it’s nasty! That’s why I recommend HCG during and before long-term ‘hormonal balancing’…
