HCG Friendly Recipe: Fennel & Onion Chicken

Thursday, May 23rd, 2013
From HCG’er Sara.  Thanks Sara!!!
A fun HCG friendly recipe (2 person serve)
Ingredients 1 fennel
4 sticks asparagus
1 onion
200g chicken breast …
4 cloves of garlic Lemon juice
Your choice of herbs (I chose extra garlic chilli thyme and dill)
Preheat oven to 180
Dice your onion and soften using either lemon juice or non stick pan. Once that’s done get out a glass baking dish (or line a dish with baking paper) and put your onion in the middle put your chicken on top and place four whole garlic cloves (skin on) around chicken. Chop up the fennel (not the stalks) add them to a separate dish I chose to add some garlic to the mix.
Bake chicken for 30-45 mins and fennel for 25 (turning every five) While they’re baking put your asparagus in foil and season with herbs salt and pepper to taste then put them in the oven for 15 minutes.
When the fennel is done put them in a blender (this is where I added a chilli and other herbs such as thyme) slowly add water until the mix starts to look similar to mashed potato. Don’t forget to manually mix it around before you serve it as you’ll see from my photo it’s quite watery (I’ve since figured out that by using no-noodles/low cal pasta (available at New Leaf) you can get a thick texture similar to potato)
Then simply put your fennel on a plate then your garlic chicken and asparagus on top and you’ll have an extremely tasty HCG friendly meal that is only 137 calories per serve! And I was STUFFED afterwards!

Starving Hungry on HCG Weight Loss Protocol???

Thursday, May 23rd, 2013

Chatting to a new client yesterday who really has had trouble with HCG in the past.

Not using the HCG that we use (which works brilliantly – RFM HCG Homoeopathic Drops), so I can’t comment on effectiveness, however, she starved the whole way through her previous 23 days, couldn’t do consolidation because she was so ravenous.  To me, this sounds like the drops weren’t working.  Pure and simple.  Homoeopathic drops are sensitive…

*  be care with them – keep away from electrical appliances
*  have 1/2 hour away from eating, drinking tea/coffee, cleaning teeth
*  give them a shake prior to each time you use them to re-activate them

Is it a problem being starving for the whole time on HCG if you can manage to work through it???  Absolutely YES!!!

*  If the homoeopathic drops aren’t working, then you are literally on a starvation diet
*  You will do all the things to your body that yoyo dieting does
*  You will probably lose muscle mass
*  You will probably lose minerals and quality from your muscle
*  This slows down your metabolism
*  This is why we end up with thyroid problems
*  Without the HCG Drops working, you will probably regain the weight you’ve lost, and more, due to the fact that your metabolism is slower, your body composition is worse (more fat, less muscle) and it takes some time to reverse that.

If hunger is more like insulin highs and lows / energy drops / ravenous for a short time, then our favourite supplement is:

*  Resist X.  2 tabs 3 x daily.
*  supports reversing insulin resistance
*  helps with stress
*  helps with energy
*  helps with sugar cravings
*  helps with PMT – type symptoms

As always, call or email any problems you may be having.  We do phone consultations (special offer – mention website and pay only $99 for an hour long consultation with either Phoebe or Rachel – fabulous bargain!)

Our team also offer many services which support HCG weight loss:

*  Infrared saunas (burn fat, release toxins)
*  Kinesiology for stress, counselling, blocked patterns, low energy, blocked energy, mood stabilisation
*  Naturopathy to support any underlying health problems
*  Abdominal Massage to increase flow of energy, blood supply, lymphatic supply to all your major organs  …  and more

Stalls on HCG Supplements To Take

Saturday, May 18th, 2013

When we hit a ‘stall’ on HCG it can be a real bummer, even when we trust the process.  But there are some health issues that can come up that we can do something about, so here’s a few suggestions:

*  If it’s fluid try an infrared sauna, 6-8 PCIP’s daily, 6-8 Lymphatox daily to clear some lymphatic congestion.  Potassium Chloride & Iron Phosphate clear the lymph, as do the herbs in Lymphotox.

*  ONLY do lymphatic drainage massage if they are oil free techniques

*  If it’s constipation we use Cascara Complex (1-4 daily) or Lipogen (2-6 daily).  Lipogen also support the bowel motions through the release of bile release from the liver (a natural laxative).  Bile release is slowed down with some people on HCG.

*  If we’re getting headaches/muscle pains – inflammatory signs which can slow weight loss –  we love Mg Revive (2-6 daily), Myoplex (2-6 daily) or Inflavonoid Intensive Care (2-6) daily depending on how nasty they are.  A combination of Inflavonoid plus a magnesium supplements works better.

Mostly HCG Stalls are more to do with:
*  increased muscle mass
*  increased hydration of body tissues
*  detoxification processes

Protein Supplements Healthy for HCG Consolidation

Saturday, May 18th, 2013
I often get asked what SIMPLE meal replacement are HEALTHY (most aren’t – full of sugar, aspartame, preservatives, flavourings) and okay for HCG Consolidation.
*  Keto Bars from Metagenics:  40:30:30 ratio protein, carb, fats – crunchy almond & cranberry; choc mint, cherry coconut, vanilla…
*  Shake It Soup – 93% protein.  Great for building muscle mass & muscle quality if that is still an issue.  Great for adding to stir-fries, dips for extra healthy protein
*  AminoPlex – rice protein supplement.  Clean.  Vanilla Flavoured.
*  Shake It Extra:  has ingredients PROVEN to reverse insulin resistance (pre-diabetes).  Vanilla Flavoured.
So there are lots of simple things we can add.
ALWAYS read ingredients – so many so-called healthy things have many dodgy ingredients!
