Allergy Testing in Children: our chief practitioner in allergy testing and treatments is Jacqueline Dekoke… Jacq has over 20 years experience in natural health techniques and over 6 years experience specificially in allergies.
Did you know that there are effective natural treatments, with no side effects for allergies in children, and because at our clinic we do kinesiology to find the best treatment for you and your family… we can quickly and easily determine which supplements and treatments will work the fastest.
The key allergens we find in our clinic are:
- wheat and gluten allergens
- rice (is becoming a bigger problem as people are steering away from wheat and gluten)
- eggs (generally because of eggs in vaccinations…)
- preservatives, colourings and flavours
- peanuts
- tree nuts such as cashews
- dairy proteins and sugars
- amine allergies – not handling the proteins in foods, usually due to lack of hydrochloric acid in the gut
- nightshade family of foods
- salicylates (aspirin like substances in foods which causing leaky gut in sensitive people)
- town water supplies
There are others, but these are the ones we find the most in children.

Allergy testing is something that there’s a lot of controversy about these days. Many naturopathic clinics are being told that they can’t do allergy testing. Weird, huh? It seems to be an issue that the government has taken to heart, that only drugs can effectively treat allergies.
So what do we do if we don’t want to use drugs which suppress allergic symptoms such as sinusitis, asthma, hayfever, itchy eyes, itchy skin… not to mention issues such as bloating, burping, belching, wind, flatulence or more debilitating issues such as eczema, dermatitis and psoriasis.
Around 75-80% of babies are born with an allergic immune system these days. Therefore they are more likely to develop issues such as food intolerances and allergies. Partly this is because our bodies are much more acidic these days. As this is a huge reason for miscarriage, the body deliberately goes into the opposite immune position to miscarriage, which is the allergic immune condition…
Our clinic has fabulous results with allergies and intolerances because we use a variety of testing and treatments.
- We use live blood analysis to determine how well the immune system is functioning. There are particular signs in the blood that let us know if the body is more likely to be an allergic one or not.
- We use other blood tests such as candida, helicobacter and celiac testing to find underlying gut issues which predispose us to health problems such as allergies and intolerances.
- We use urine testing such as urinary indicans and ph testing to find out how much bad gut bacteria we have and how acidic the body is. These can both be linked to poor immunity.
- We also use a variety of kinesiology techniques which lower the body’s stress in relation to a particular allergen – we can find whether or not things are alleries or intolerances, or even whether it’s just an energy mismatch – an energy mismatch is when the body doesn’t ‘know’ what to do with something. For example, if we eat spelt flour for the first time in our lives, and the body doesn’t know what to do with it, we may get symptoms of bloating, but this may be because the body just doesn’t know what to do with it… we can balance that out…
