Chi Nei Tsang: Emotional benefits; improves blood, nerve lymph supply to a dozen major organs!

Saturday, March 30th, 2019

We all feel great after having a massage, especially those of us who are tending to the mind-body connection through doing a regular yoga practice. Some people report feelings of bliss after a massage, but is this type of healing or therapy really sustainable? Can it actually make a lasting impact and truly heal the body? Can yoga truly heal the body, or do we need to go a bit deeper and look at the core issues which cause us to experience pain in the first place?

Many people who are beginning their yoga or meditation journeys, may start out wanting to do yoga for flexibility or for overall health reasons. When a practitioner goes deeper than Yoga (and therefore deeper into the awareness of what the body and mind is trying to tell us), an awareness of needing to get to the emotional “root” of the pain, injury, or illness will occur.

CHI NEI TSANG

In addition to yoga, a surge of interest has occurred in relation to a massage technique done only on the organs in the stomach in order to get to the emotional causes of deep rooted dis-ease. This kind of detoxifying massage comes from China, and is known as Chi Nei Tsang.

Also taught in Northern Thailand, Chi Nei Tsang is an ancient Taoist practice which gently (yet deeply) works the organs on all levels–physically, emotionally and spiritually–in order to make them work more efficiently and to heal unprocessed negative emotions that the person has repressed throughout their life.

Chi Nei Tsang literally means working the energy of the internal organs. In a systematic manner, the abdomen is warmed with oil prepared with palming massage strokes, and then worked from the right side to the left side. They finish by grounding the person with other massage techniques on the legs, arms and face. Organs and arteries are worked on deeply and sometimes painfully. When there is pain or transference of sensation, there may also be toxins that show up as a yellowing on the practitioner’s gloves. You will feel some areas of both hardness and softness, and may experience an inability to breathe followed by a deeper ability to digest life and all its nutrients upon completion of a session.

When a person’s abdomen is blocked, large, or hardened, multiple sessions are recommended. It is much easier to give a session to a yogi who has also done deep internal work on themselves, such as emotional release therapies.

All of the body’s systems–digestive, respiratory, cardiovascular, lymphatic, nervous, endocrine, urinary, and reproductive –are addressed in a session. All emotion experienced needs to be processed on a physical level, and this is where discomfort can occur. In between intense times (such as the kidney point, for example), the the receiver may find themselves falling asleep.

It is important to emphasise that the Chi Nei Tsang practitioner neither treats symptoms, nor attempts to cure illness. Chi Nei Tsang addresses the whole person and can be of particular benefit to contemporary problems caused by stress such as sleep disorders; digestive disorders involving the liver, gallbladder or kidneys; nervous disorders such as anxiety and depression; and autoimmune disorders such as Lupus and chronic fatigue syndrome.

Additionally, Chi Nei Tsang can help to speed healing from injury or trauma and is known for its healing and almost mystical work with endometriosis and fertility, or sexual issues for women and men.

In the Tao system, each organ is known to hold different negative emotions. For example: the liver holds anger, the kidneys hold fear and the stomach holds worry. When massaged intentionally, these lower emotions can be eliminated in the body, and a shift can come (at anytime) for the person who has received a treatment.

It is a system designed to precipitate change by bringing awareness to the internal organs. It also makes you more aware on the emotional level of the body, thus inducing the body to heal itself. Regardless of if your condition is physical or emotionally manifested, there is no condition that is not addressed. It seems to have a mystical quality of healing that many are seeking for optimal health and as an addition to a physical yoga practice.

Giving it a try, or learning how to share it with someone else, can definitely give you the experience or change in bodywork that you may be looking for. Its greatest benefits occur for people fasting or doing a detox. Be sure not to eat anything at least three hours before a session.

NEURAL ORGANISATION TECHNIQUE (N.O.T.)

Wednesday, March 30th, 2011

NEURAL ORGANIZATION TECHNIQUE (N.O.T.)

I have taken training from several doctors in Australia and the United States who have developed techniques that deal with identifying and correcting faults in the nervous system. One technique that I have mastered is called Neural Organization Technique. It is a very powerful technique wherein its originator, Dr. Carl Ferrari, used muscle response testing to find the basic sequences or “programs” that we are all built with on a primitive level.

It encompasses knowledge from chiropractic, acupuncture, craniosacral therapy, reflexology, Neuro Linguistic Programming, and more. What is unique to Dr. Ferreri’s work is that he has found order in the system so that there is very little guesswork in making corrections. The protocols for correcting the body are to be done in a specific sequence every time on every person. It is as if someone has found the owner’s manual for the basic neurology of the human body and the reflexes to correct and reset it!

For example, one can reprogram an immune system by correcting a sequence of 15 to 18 reflexes on the body in about 5 minutes. To demonstrate the specificity of the technique, one can then reverse the sequence and recreate the faulty immune system for demonstration purposes. We can do this with the hormonal programs, scoliosis, learning disabilities, etc. This is a very powerful, very specific and very encompassing technique that takes only 120-150 minutes to complete all corrections! It is accomplished with very low force, and once it is done, the disorganization DOES NOT USUALLY RETURN unless there is a new significant trauma.

At first I found this hard to believe, however I have now treated many patients globally who have returned a year later for re-examination to show that all the corrections were still holding.

Every condition known to man involves nervous system disorganization at a base causative level. Therefore, one of the primary treatments in correcting any condition would be to correct and reorganize the nervous system using this technique before continuing with another modality. The body is organized functionally into four primal survival systems which are generally known as the feeding, fight/flight, reproduction and immune systems. All physiological, neurological, vegetative and cognitive activities must function within or through these survival systems in an organized and integrated manner. In order for the body to survive, these systems must be organized within themselves first and then must be integrated and synchronized with each other. This organization is manifest through the integrated function of the central nervous system. Various kinds of stress including physical, emotional, chemical, or environmental trauma can, and many times do, interfere with the harmonious and organized function of these reflex systems and ultimately the central nervous system itself.

Neural Organization Technique (NOT), a non-invasive, kinesiologically-based treatment protocol, is designed to recognize any of the disorganizations that may be found within the neural programmes of these primal survival systems if damaged or otherwise compromised. The treatment protocols are then designed to specifically organize or reorganize a disorganized central nervous system. A disruption of the natural balance within these previously synchronized processes will cause a change in the electromagnetic (EM) field in various parts of the body. This EM change can then be measured, analyzed and treated. Homeostasis is then restored to the body by activating combinations of the known reflex systems, acupuncture meridians, muscle spindles, magnetic energy, cranial and spinal bone balances and nutrition which control these systems. The key to the success of this treatment protocol is that it recognizes the need for the specific organization and integration of all systems within the body.

The body is a totally integrated biological and energetic entity where everything affects everything else in one way or another and as the old song goes, the “head bone” is really connected to the “foot bone”. It is impossible to treat one part of the body without affecting or causing stress or change somewhere else in the body.

The list of conditions treated with this method almost reads like a pathology book because it is so diverse. This is because the treatment protocols are aimed at the neurological, physiological and energetic deficits which either cause or allow the condition or deficit to exist, and not necessarily at the condition itself. It doesn’t matter what you have or what you call it but rather why you have it. We don’t treat the disease but we do treat the causes.

Neural Organization Technique is unique in other ways not found in other treatment protocols. The NOT examination and treatment protocols take into account the body’s awareness of itself and the circumstances of life as it is lived. Eyes open and closed, light and dark and half-light conditions (dawn, dusk, etc) and various eye directions are a normal part of the usual examination and treatment procedures. Also considered are changing body positions (getting up from sitting or lying), cold, heat, walking, jumping, running, sitting in the car, etc. which very often influence the memory of the circumstances surrounding the condition. These circumstances, when included in the treatment protocol, are almost always key to successful treatment and usually make for rapid and successful conclusions to any condition.

Problems treated by NOT

Some of the many conditions which I have successfully treated or corrected include:

  • Headaches

  • Learning disabilities/dyslexia

  • Grinding or clenching teeth, jaw tension/misaligned or clicking jaws

  • Chronic neck pain and whiplash injuries

  • Chiropractic adjustments that don’t hold

  • Acute or chronic back pain, disc degeneration, and sciatica

  • Arm, hand, leg, or foot pain

  • Carpal tunnel syndrome

  • Recurring ear and sinus infections

  • Tendonitis and muscle spasms

  • Tingling or numbness in the hands or legs

  • Scoliosis

  • Hernias (both inguinal and hiatal)

  • Prostate hypertrophy (enlargement) and prolapsed uterus

  • Frequent urination/incontinence

  • Nausea

  • Food sensitivities

  • Allergies/frequent colds and coughs

  • Immune and autoimmune disorders

  • Acid reflux, chronic gas bloating and belching

  • Female and male sexual problems

  • Thyroid conditions

  • Hypoglycemia/Hyperglycemia/Diabetes

  • Sleeping problems

  • Concentration difficulties/Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD/ADHD)

  • Chronic tiredness/Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS)

  • Multiple Sclerosis

  • Vertigo, balance problems, motion sickness, difficulty with heights

  • Asthma/shortness of breath

  • Visual and hearing difficulties

  • Epilepsy

  • Traumatic brain injury

  • Down’s syndrome

  • Cerebral Palsy

The method of examination for all of the above is based on kinesiological concepts in which a strong muscle indicator [a muscle which can resist reasonable force on command] is used. This method accesses the body’s own knowledge of itself. If there is a functional or structural deficit anywhere in the body, there will be a change in the electromagnetic energy in that part or function. When that part or reflex area is touched by either the examiner or the patient there is a distraction to the overall energy field as the body tries to compensate for the change. This change is registered in the test muscle and the muscle momentarily weakens on stress.

The Interconnectedness of the Body

Nothing happens in or to the body without total body awareness of the incident. This awareness is communicated through an intact nervous system so that the body can accommodate the particular incident and can act appropriately to survive. As these systems are involved in our basic survival, they must also of necessity be reflex in nature, that is, automatic, needing no cognitive activity or training to function. Trauma in all of its possibilities can and does disrupt the neural programmes within these reflex systems which then send inappropriate signals to the body.

There is an axiom in neurology which is known as the ‘all or none’ rule.

If there is sufficient stimulation then that neurological program must fully activate and if not, it will not. Our research has identified the specific areas in or on the body which will activate the neural circuits within these programmes. They in turn control all possibilities including posture, gait, balance, movement, glandular, immune, digestive and cognitive functions.

A frequent question asked by both patients and doctors is “how long does it last?” If the corrections are made properly and completely, they usually last until the patient re-injures themselves, which may be many years later.

I personally use other techniques in the field of emotional and energetic healing to assist people in their return to wellness. Neural Organization Technique, however, must be done with every person to ensure that the body computer can hold onto the corrections, be they physical, emotional, or dietary.

There are less than 100 Neural Organization Technique doctors around the world and we have worked for years to decipher and correct the neural faults that appear specific to each and every condition known. We are all amazed at Dr. Ferreri’s genius at what he has created and I continue to follow in his pioneering footsteps by making myself available for treatments, lectures, research projects, and training.

Remedial Massage in Wynnum, Brisbane. Benefits of Regular Remedial Massage

Thursday, June 24th, 2010

Current Bonus:  30% off your initial massage – mention this website!!  Our beautiful natural therapies clinic in Wynnum, Brisbane, has a fantastic remedial massage team.  We also have Reiki sessions available with Gabby Graham.

Remedial Massage is very different today than it was 30 years ago.  Today is becoming more and more recognised as a way of repairing muscles and tendons:  these can be damaged through many problems in daily life – the product of overuse, trauma or bad posture.

Remedial massage involves a number of applied techniques involving deep pressure, trigger points released and longitudinal strokes on shortened and tight muscles to allow proper function and restore muscle strength.

Remedial Massage Technique: It uses several specialised techniques to locate and repair damage and to support and speed up the body’s own repair mechanisms. The massage is applied directly to the skin using a lubricating medium, usually oil, which ensures that the muscles associated with the disorder and mobilisation of the joint are deeply penetrated. Passive stretching moves are also used.

Benefits of Remedial Massage

Key benefits of Remedial Massage include: the stimulation to the blood supply allowing toxins in the muscles to be removed; the calming of the peripheral nervous system to ease pain and discomfort; and the toning and relaxing of muscles to improve joint mobility. An improvement to the health of the cells, the repairing of tissues, and the easing of stiffness and tension can also be experienced through therapeutic relaxation.

Muscular and skeletal dysfunctions often addressed with Remedial Massage include Fibrositis, Spondylitis, Arthritis, frozen shoulder, muscular cramps, Whiplash, muscular atrophy, sports and dancing injuries.

Ring and ask about our specials – we often have great bonuses available for first time clients!
